Ponceau Stain ( Acid Red) is an Azo dye used in protein detection of bands in western blotting on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes.
It can also be used with Cellulose Acetate membranes.
The stain works well with small molecules such as peptide Poly-peptides and low MW proteins improving detection methods
